Starlings in flight

Here are some shots of Eurasian starlings in flight. At this time of the year large flocks or starlings return from their winter habitat to spend their spring and summer time with us. In fact starlings are one of the first bird species that return. You can find here a „schedule“ that nicely shows what species can be expected when. Very soon we will be having again storks down here and I can’t wait their arrival. We learned that the person seeing the first stork will have lots of luck this year. Good thing we get up at 5am in the morning.

We have a few birds daily perching on our trees loudly chirping with their beautiful voices. I think some of those already have inhabited the little bird houses that are hanging on our trees.
