Meine Arbeit ist euch gewidmet - den Tieren vor meiner Haustüre. Als Kind habe ich euch gesehen. Ein Feuer in mir hat gebrannt, euch zu erforschen. Aber über die Jahre seid ihr in Vergessenheit geraten und aus dem Feuer ist ein Flämmlein geworden. Es hat lange gedauert, aber heute sehe ich euch wieder. Der Phoenix hat sich aus der Asche erhoben und das Feuer neu in mir entfacht.

Ihr habt mich gelehrt, mich in Geduld zu üben. Durch euch habe ich meine innere Ruhe gefunden. In den vielen Stunden, welche ich eurer Beobachtung gewidmet habe, habe ich so viele Dinge und Zusammenhänge angefangen zu begreifen. Ihr seid die besten Lehrer, die ich jemals hatte. Ich bin dankbar für all die schönen Momente, welche ich mit euch teilen durfte und freue mich auf viele weitere Abenteuer mit euch.

Meine Haustüre ist kein fester Ort auf dieser Erde sondern sie ist das Tor zur Natur an dem Ort wo ich mich gerade befinde. Es ist schlussendlich auch völlig irrelevant, wo diese Türe ist. Wichtig ist nur, dass "wenn man die Natur wahrhaft liebt, so findet man es überall schön" (Vincent Van Gogh).

Respekt

Der Wald ist für mich ein magischer Ort, voller Abenteuer und Wunder. Er ist der Ort, wo ich eins mit der Natur bin. Wenn ich ihn betrete, versuche ich mich so unauffällig wie möglich zu verhalten. Ich begegne dem Wald und seinen Bewohnern immer mit grossen Respekt.

Die Bäume sind die Wächter des Waldes. Deshalb bitte ich sie jeweils um Einlass. Ich bleibe ein paar Minuten stehen, schaue in die Baumkronen und versuche mich mit den Bäumen zu verbinden. Ich schliesse meine Augen und warte auf ein Zeichen. Es kann das Klopfen eines Spechtes oder das Rufen eines Eichelhähers sein, welches mich aus meinen Gedanken erwachen lässt und mir zeigt, dass meine Bitte erhört wurde.

Ausrüstung und Tarnung

Mein Hauptwerkzeug ist eine Nikon D750 mit einer 500mm f/4 Linse. Des Weiteren habe ich folgende Gläser im Einsatz:

• Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8
• Nikon 105mm f/2.8
• Nikon 50mm f/1.8
• Nikon 35mm f/1.8
• Coolife Pro Wildkameras

Ich versuche mich so gut es geht den Farben des Waldes anzupassen und trage dementsprechende Tarnkleidung. Je nach Situation setzte ich auch Tarnzelte ein.

My work is dedicated to you - to the animals at my doorstep. When I was a child I did see you. A fire burned within me to explore you. But over the years you have fall into oblivion and the fire has turned into a little flame. It took a long time, but today I see you again. You have taught me to practice patience. Through you I have found my inner peace. In the many hours that I have devoted to your observation, I have begun to understand so many things and connections. You are the best teachers I have ever had. I am grateful for all the beautiful moments that I was allowed to share with you and look forward to many more adventures with you.

My front door is not a fixed place on mother earth but it is the gate to nature at the place where I am at the moment. In the end, it is completely irrelevant where this door is. The only important thing is that "if you truly love nature, you will find beauty everywhere" (Vincent Van Gogh).

Respect

To me, the forest is a magical place, full of adventure and wonder. It is the place where I am one with nature. When I enter it, I try to behave as inconspicuously as possible. I always treat the forest and its inhabitants with great respect.

Trees are the guardians of the forest. That's why I always ask them to let me in. I stand still for a few minutes, look into the treetops and try to connect with the trees. I close my eyes and wait for a sign. It can be the knocking of a woodpecker or the call of a jay, which awakens me from my thoughts and shows me that my request has been heard.

My all day everyday tool is a Nikon D750 in combination with a 500mm f/4 lens. In addition to that, I am using the following lenses:

• Coolife Pro Trap Cams

I try to match the colors of the forest as much as possible and wear appropriate camouflage clothing. Depending on the situation, I also use camouflage tents.
